Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 4, 2026|Last updated: August 4, 2026
Welcome to MoneyPicnic.
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have regarding your information.
MoneyPicnic is a personalized financial opportunity marketplace that helps consumers discover financial products, services, offers, and opportunities based on information they choose to provide.
We believe transparency builds trust, and this Privacy Policy is intended to explain our practices in clear language.
Information We Collect
Most of what we know about you is what you tell us. When you answer questions about your goals and situation, we use those answers to build your personalized report. You are always free to skip a question — we’ll simply have less to work with.
Information you give us
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Mailing address, when a partner or a legal requirement calls for it
- Date of birth, when a partner or a legal requirement calls for it
- Income information
- Credit score or credit score range you self-report
- Whether you rent or own your home
- Employment information
- Your financial goals
- Your assessment responses
- Account information, such as your login details and saved reports
- Marketing preferences, including email and SMS consent
Information from a soft credit check
If — and only if — you give us express authorization, we may receive soft credit information such as your credit score range, account and balance summaries, and general credit history details. Section 3 explains exactly how this works.
Technical information
- Device information
- Browser information
- IP address
- Cookies and similar technologies
- Analytics information about how you use the site
- Referral information, including the site or ad that sent you here
- Advertising identifiers
- UTM and campaign parameters in the links you click
- Session information, such as pages viewed and time on site
We do not ask for your Social Security number, bank login credentials, or account numbers to generate your recommendations.
Information Collected Automatically
Like nearly every website, ours collects a small amount of technical information automatically when you visit. This is what keeps the site working, secure, and improving.
| What we collect | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Cookies | Remember your progress, preferences, and session so you don’t start over |
| Analytics information | Show us which pages are useful and where people get stuck |
| Device and browser information | Render the site correctly on your screen |
| Operating system | Diagnose bugs specific to certain devices |
| IP address | Security, fraud prevention, and approximate location |
| General location | Show offers available in your state — not precise GPS location |
| Pages visited and time on site | Understand which guidance is actually helpful |
| Referral source | Know which partner or campaign referred you |
| Advertising identifiers | Measure ad performance and limit repeat ads |
We do not collect precise geolocation from your device, and we do not track you across unrelated websites for our own purposes.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create your personalized recommendations
- Generate your financial reports and estimated opportunity values
- Match you to offers you’re more likely to qualify for
- Improve the accuracy of our recommendation models
- Improve our products, content, and overall experience
- Create and manage your account
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and abuse
- Provide customer support and respond to your questions
- Send marketing communications you’ve asked to receive
- Deliver your email reports and saved results
- Send SMS alerts where you’ve given consent
- Measure site analytics and campaign performance
- Keep the site, your account, and our systems secure
- Meet our legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we don’t hand your details to random third parties hoping someone bites.
How Recommendations Work
Your report isn’t a directory dump. To decide what appears and in what order, our technology weighs a combination of:
- The information you shared with us
- The offers currently available in our marketplace
- Each partner’s published eligibility requirements
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning models
- Historical performance of similar recommendations
- Estimated approval likelihood for your profile
- Our proprietary ranking algorithms
- Our affiliate relationships with providers
Everything in your report is informational. Estimated values, match scores, and approval likelihoods are projections based on the information available to us — they are not guarantees of approval, pricing, savings, or results. Only the provider can approve you and set your final terms.
MoneyPicnic is not a financial advisor, lender, or broker, and nothing in your report is individualized investment, tax, or legal advice.
Affiliate Relationships
MoneyPicnic is free for you because financial institutions and advertisers pay us. When you click an offer, create an account with a partner, or get approved, we may earn a referral fee or commission.
That compensation may influence:
- Where an offer is placed on a page
- Which recommendations are featured
- The order in which offers are displayed
- Which offers are available on our marketplace at all
Compensation is never the only factor. Relevance to your stated goals, your profile, published eligibility criteria, and estimated approval likelihood all shape what you see — and we do not include every company or every offer available in the market.
Email Communications
If you give us your email address, we may send you:
- Your personalized report and a link to revisit it
- Updated recommendations as your situation or our marketplace changes
- New opportunities that match your stated goals
- Occasional newsletters and financial guidance
- Marketing messages about MoneyPicnic and partner offers
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom — one click and you’re out. You can also email privacy@moneypicnic.com and we’ll handle it for you. We may still send essential account or transactional messages, like a password reset or a security notice.
SMS Communications
We only text you if you’ve given consent. Consent to receive marketing texts is never a condition of using MoneyPicnic or of any purchase.
- Message frequency varies based on your activity and the opportunities we find.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out of future texts.
- Reply HELP for assistance, or email support@moneypicnic.com.
- We do not sell or rent your phone number, and we don’t share it with advertisers.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Not all mobile carriers support our messaging program.
Your Privacy Choices
You are in control. At any time you may:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that’s inaccurate or out of date
- Ask us to delete your information
- Close your account
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails
- Opt out of SMS by replying STOP
- Manage or clear cookies in your browser
- Opt out of targeted advertising and cross-context behavioral advertising where applicable
Email privacy@moneypicnic.com and tell us what you’d like. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we’ll respond within the timeframes required by law.
State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy law. We extend the core rights below to every U.S. resident, regardless of state.
Rights available to you
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Right to access a portable copy of your information
- Right to delete the information we hold about you
- Right to correct inaccurate information
- Right to opt out of targeted advertising, profiling, and any “sale” or “share” as those terms are defined by your state
- Right to appeal if we decline your request
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
California
Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we’ve collected, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose to. You may also request deletion or correction, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not knowingly process the personal information of anyone under 16. You may use an authorized agent, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Colorado
Under the Colorado Privacy Act, you may access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your data, and opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. We honor universal opt-out mechanisms, including Global Privacy Control. You may appeal a denied request by replying to our decision.
Virginia
Under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, you may confirm whether we process your data, access it, correct it, delete it, obtain a copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. You have the right to appeal, and to contact the Virginia Attorney General if your appeal is denied.
Connecticut
Under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, you have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. We recognize opt-out preference signals and provide an appeal process.
Texas
Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, you may confirm processing, access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling. Texas residents may appeal our decision and may contact the Texas Attorney General.
Oregon
Under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, you may request a list of the specific third parties to which we’ve disclosed your personal data, in addition to the rights to access, correct, delete, port, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling.
Delaware
Under the Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act, you may access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, obtain a list of the categories of third parties we’ve shared it with, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling.
Other states
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Montana, Utah, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island — have similar rights as those laws take effect. Rather than track which state you’re in, we simply honor these requests for everyone.
To exercise any right, email privacy@moneypicnic.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We’ll confirm receipt, verify your identity, and respond within the window your state’s law requires — typically 45 days.
Data Security
We treat your information the way we’d want ours treated. Our safeguards follow industry standards and include:
- Encryption in transit using TLS across our site and APIs
- Encryption at rest where appropriate for stored data
- Role-based access controls, so employees only see what their job requires
- Monitoring and logging to detect unusual activity
- Authentication controls on accounts and internal systems
- Vendor management and security review of the providers we work with
- Regular security reviews of our code, infrastructure, and practices
That said, no method of transmitting or storing information over the internet is completely secure. We can’t promise absolute security, but we can promise we take it seriously — and that we’ll notify you and the appropriate authorities if a breach affecting your information ever occurs.
Data Retention
We keep information only as long as it’s reasonably necessary for the purpose we collected it, including to:
- Maintain your account and saved reports
- Keep your recommendations accurate and current
- Satisfy legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
- Prevent, investigate, and document fraud
- Operate and improve the business, including analytics and recordkeeping
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. If you ask us to delete your account, we’ll remove your personal information except where we’re required to retain records — and we’ll tell you if that applies.
Children’s Privacy
MoneyPicnic is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the Services are not directed to anyone under 18.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email privacy@moneypicnic.com and we will delete it promptly.
Business Transfers
If MoneyPicnic is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or reorganization, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
If that happens, we’ll require the receiving party to honor this Privacy Policy for information collected before the transfer, and we’ll notify you if the way your information is handled materially changes.
International Users
MoneyPicnic is designed for and offered to users in the United States. Our systems and service providers are located in the U.S., so information you share is processed here.
If you access the site from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. This Privacy Policy and our practices are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
As our product evolves, this policy may change. When it does, we’ll post the updated version here with a revised Effective Date at the top.
If a change materially affects how we use your information, we’ll give you clearer notice — by email or an in-product message — before it takes effect. Continuing to use MoneyPicnic after an update means the revised policy applies to you.
